Long overdue post

Howdy to all my blog readers. You have probably given up reading my blog, for lack of postings. It's not that i haven't been doing things that are blog-worthy, but rather it was a hardware malfunction...........

About a month ago i noticed my computer was making a lot of extra noise...like the hard drive was spinning and wouldn't shut off. About the same time, i got a few suspicious emails that my MacAfee warned me not to open because the were viral. I left for a week of vacation, turned my computer completely off, and came home to find it running (roaring, actually). It wouldn't turn off. Turned out the motherboard was shot, and finally it quit and would not be revived. So sad. I was afraid a virus had gotten it, and i was concerned about whether i could get my data off the hard drive or not, and if it would be infected. But thank goodness for son Casey and his access to all kinds of computer testing at work...he ran all kinds of tests on it and determined that it was the motherboard and that the data should still be intact on the old hard drive. So i got a new, cheap computer (e-Machine) and son Ryan hooked the old hard drive up, and VOILA!!! i found my documents and pictures and transferred them to the new hard drive.

So, now that you are bored stiff hearing about this, i hope you will understand why i was without a computer for most of a month, and why i didn't post anything. However, i need to post all about my visit to a taping of "THE PRICE IS RIGHT" and i will do that soon.

My e machines computer is now 5 yrs old and is ready to be replaced so we definately got our $$ worth. If that makes you feel better. It has been a pretty good computer for the price. I would buy another one:)
