I feel the urge to update my blog, since it has been a while. I really admire you people who have such exciting lives that you post something every day.
Anyway, we tried to camp last weekend for Memorial Day. Took the camper out to Mozingo Lake early in the week to get a spot. Got a great spot overlooking the boat ramp (always action going on there; one time we watched a boat fall off it's trailer). We couldn't believe how lucky we were to get a prime spot when so much of the campground was already full. Wellllllllllll....it turns out that the bucket that was on the water hookup meant that something was wrong with it, and there was no water available at that spot. No worries; we filled the water tank on the trailer before bringing it out.
Between stake meetings, family get-togethers, call schedules, and rain, we only slept in the trailer 3 of the 7 nights it was out there. I could kick myself for not just moving out there and telling everyone that they could find me there if they wanted me bad enough. Maybe next time.
On Saturday we went boating. It was hot that day, and the younger crowd enjoyed the water (73 degrees). We put the little girls in the tube and grandpa towed them around the lake. I wish you could hear the squealing. They had a ball. We all got a little sun; nobody got too much. Heather made lunch one day which was a new pasta dish that was incredibly delicious. As soon as she shares the recipe, i will post it on my recipe blog.
Went to church in Albany; needed to do a little stake RS business there. It is always fun to visit the other wards/branches.
Monday i finally got 15 tomato plants into the ground, and about 12 bell pepper plants. I still have onions to put in, but the ground is too wet. Spent the evening in front of a campfire at the trailer; it was great. Jake came with us and did a little fishing and caught one nice crappie. I have a picture of it on my cell phone so when i figure out how to get it out of my phone i will post it.
That's about the sum total of the weekend. Hope you had a good one.
