Ellie arrived quickly on Thursday morning. Heather went to the hospital to be induced at 6:30, and Ellie was born at 10:44. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 13 oz, and is 20 1/2 inches long. He has some dark hair, long fingers and toes, and is an excellent nurser. Mom is doing great. Dad is in awe of the whole process.
Ellie's sisters (technically they are half-sisters but they dont understand all that) were absolutely ecstatic to meet their baby sister. The girls were with me, and we hovered over the cell phone, waiting for texts, until we got one that had no words...just a picture of the new baby!!!
We got to the hospital about 2 hours after she was born, and the nurse let the girls "learn" how to give a baby a bath. She even let them rub the lotion on their new sister. It was precious. That nurse got an A++ in my book!!!

She's beautiful. In the pic on the right she really looks like Scott! I really think I've seen him make that same face! =O)
What fun to have a baby in the family again! And such a little cutie!
